Abstract

This study is aimed to determine the contribution of the role of teachers, parents attention, and independent learning both individually and collectively on student achievement at SMK Maarif 1 Wates. This research was a kind of ex post facto research using a quantitative approach. The subjects were students of SMK Maarif class I, II, III by taking multiple classes of samples in the last three years the school year 2011, 2012 and 2013. Collecting data used questionnaires and documentation (report). Evidence of the validity of the instrument was done by Expert Judgment and empirically using Product Moment Pearson correlation. Evidence of validity and reliability was calculated by using Microsoft Office Excel help. Data analysis techniques used descriptive statistical techniques and statistical parametric regression testing technique with multiple and simple regression using a 5% significance level. The results showed that: (1) the role of teachers included in the medium category with an average of 97.90 from the interval 67-138; (2) parents attention in the medium category with the average of 67.01 from the interval 36-89; (3) independent learning in the medium category with the average of 66.46 from the interval 47-91; (4) the level of student achievement in the high category with the average of 7.89 frome interval t 1-10; (5) there was a significant influence the role of teachers, parents attention, and independent learning together on student achievement with the regression line equation Y = 6.096 + 0.014 X1 + 0.003 X2 + 0.004 X3, while the double correlation coefficient of 0.607 ; (6) there was a significant role of teachers' influence on student achievement with the regression line equation Y = 6.370 + 0.016 X1, while the correlation coefficient was 0.590; (7) there was a significant influence of parents' attention on student achievement with the regression line equation Y = 7.213 + 0.010 X2, while the correlation coefficient was 0.317; (8) there was a significant influence of independent learning on student achievement with the regression line equation Y = 7.067 + 0.013 X3, while the double correlation coefficient of 0.316; (9) the effective contribution of each variable was 34.80% for the role of teachers, 10.0% to the parents attention, 10.0% for independent learning, 36.80% to the role of teachers, parents attention, and independent learning together , while the remaining 8.4% was explained by other variables not examined. Keywords: Role of Teachers, Parents Attention, Learning Independence
