Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian filologi dan metode penelitian kualitatif. Metode penelitian filologi digunakan karena sumber data merupakan manuskrip Jawa. Metode kualitatif digunakan untuk menjelaskan representasi simbol dalam agama Hindu yang digunakan dalam iluminasi naskah-naskah Jawa. Sumber data penelitian ialah 154 iluminasi (wedana renggan) yang terdapat dalam naskah-naskah Jawa koleksi Museum Sonobudoyo dan Perpustakaan Balai Bahasa Yogyakarta. Analisis data dilakukan dengan analisis hermeneutik dan heuristik. Hasil penelitian ini adalah sebagai berikut. (1) Simbol-simbol dalam agama Hindu yang digunakan dalam iluminasi naskah-naskah Jawa antara lain: (a) merak; (b) garuda; (c) naga; (d) trisula; (e) arah mata angin; dan (f) bunga teratai/ padma. Naskah ini disalin dengan menggunakan aksara Arab Pegon pada 1845 (1914 Masehi). Teks di dalamnya merepresentasikan sosok perempuan yang bijak dalam kepungan patriarki Jawa. Melalui bahasa Jawa yang lugas dan ilustrasi yang dibubuhkan, kan- dungan isi dari teks ini jauh lebih hidup. Di samping itu, teks Dewi Murtasiyah membukti-kan pula bahwa perempuan secara ganda bertindak sebagai subyek-obyek dari konstruksi budaya. Sedangkan dekonstruksi akibat kolonialisasi barat mulai kentara sejak abad ke XVI dan XVII. Melalui metode studi kepustakaan dengan kajian filologi dan kodikologi, kontrusksi gender terhadap perempuan pada teks tersebut akan diungkapkan. This research use the method of philological research and descriptive research method. The method of philological research is used to RBA texts written with handwritten Javanese script. Descriptive research method used to describe the condition of the manuscript, explain the steps of philological research, and explain the contents of RBA text. The source of this research data are the SDWW manuscript and RBA text collection in the Library of Museum Sanabudaya Yogyakarta with the codex number PB C. 91. Data collection techniques in this research is using the step of philology research, that is inventory of manuscript, description of manuscript and text, text transcription, text transliteration, text editing, text translation, and analysis of text. Data analysis using descriptive analysis technique. The validity used is semantic validity. The reliability used are reliability of intrarater and interrater.
The result of this research is to explain eight chapters. First, the results of the inventory manuscript of SDWW found 7 copies of the manuscript. Furthermore, the source of research data is the SDWW manuscript with the codex number PB C. 91 stored in the Library of Museum Sanabudaya Yogyakarta. Second, the results of the manuscript description of the condition is still good, the writing is still clear, and can be read. Third, the text description results explain three chapters, that is opening, content, and cover of RBA text. Fourth, make a transcription text to preserve this manuscript. Fifth, the transliteration of RBA text found 21 words that characterize of RBA text. Sixth, RBA text editing results found 15 words were edited and then written in critical apparatus. Seventh, the translation of RBA text found 3 words that became the translation notes. This results of this study were described as follows. There are two copies of the manuscript of Swaraning Asêpi, but one that became the object of research that was stored in the library of Dewantara Kirti Griya Yogyakarta. The circumstances of the manuscript and the text were almost destroyed, but the text is still readable clearly. Diplomatic transcription is done by making transfers of the same letter. Standart transliteration is done by making rewrite by changing the letter into Latin letters according to the common spelling. The default edits found five edited words that were marked by a critical apparatus. The translation text is analyzed by employing literal translation method, content translation, and free translation. This research used philological research methods and descriptive analysis method. The philological research method was used to study the text of Sêrat Éndrålaksitå which is written in Javanese script. On the other hand, the descriptive analysis method was used to describe the manuscript of Sêrat Éndrålaksitå objectively. The source of the data was in the form of manuscript and text of Sêrat Éndrålaksitå from the collection of the Library of Rumah Budaya Tembi. The data were collected through the steps of philological research: inventorying the text, describing the text, transliterating the text, translating the text, and analyzing the content of the text. Descriptive analysis technique was used to analyze the data. In order to come to the validity of the data, semantic validity was applied. Intrarrater and interrater reliabilities were used to determine the reliability of the study.
The findings of the research are divided into six chapters as follows. Firstly, explaining the researcher’s encounter with the manuscript of Sêrat Éndrålaksitå which is stored in the Library of Rumah Budaya Tembi. Secondly, describing the state of the manuscript of Sêrat Éndrålaksitå in which it is still in a good condition and readable. Thirdly, discussing the transliteration of Sêrat Éndrålaksitå which being analyzed using standard transliteration: translating the manuscript from Japanese script into Alphabet Letter applying common spelling. Fourthly, explaining that the text is transliterated using standard transliteration method and written using critical apparatus. Fifthly, the translation text of Sêrat Éndrålaksitå is analyzed by employing literal translation method, content translation, and free translation. All of those translation methods are studied contextually while the distinction words which cannot be translated are placed in terjemahan note. The results of research are descriptive research. The data source in the research was based on data in Javanese Short Story Anthology in Yogyakarta 2013. The research was a sentence. The words are related to the types, the letters, and the function of the words. Their collecting data is denied by the researcher himself (human instrumen). This research tool uses the data analysis table which is assisted by a credit card. The data is collected by reading and writing. The way in which this data is analyzed is using descriptive analysis, that is, by way of declaring data according to its categories. The way in which this data is solved by validating the validity of the theory of triangulation and reliability of stability.
The results of the research describe the different types of words, namely the words of the active imperative sentence and passive imperative sentence to the Javanese Short Story Anthology in Yogyakarta.
