This study employed the quantitative research method. The research population
comprised 97 people, consisting of 92 teachers and five principals in five private elementary
schools in Sentani District, Jayapura City, Papua Province. The census method was used by
selecting all population members as respondents. The data were analyzed using the product
moment correlation technique.
The results of the product moment correlation analysis show that teachers’ work
motivation (ryx1 = 0.452; p = 0.000), teachers’ competencies (ryx2 = 0.427; p = 0.000), and
principals’ leadership (ryx3 = 0.267; p = 0.008) positively and significantly correlate with
teachers’ performances. The results of the multiple regression analysis show that teachers’
work motivation, teachers’ competencies, and principals’ leadership as an aggregate
significantly correlate with teachers’ performances as much as 35.0% (R = 0.592; R2 = 0.35;
F = 16.716; p = 0.000).
