TY - THES PB - Fakultas Ilmu Pendidikan KW - Prinsip Manajemen KW - Kepemimpinan KW - Perguruan Tinggi Islam Unggul N2 - This study aims to: 1). find leadership management models in each Islamic religious college; 2). find a proper and effective leadership management model applied in Islamic religious colleges; 3). find factors that hinder and support leadership management in Islamic religious colleges, and 4). find out the factors that shape leaders in Islamic religious colleges. This study uses Exploratory sequential mixed methods. Data are collected through observation, interviews, documentation, and questionnaires. The validity of qualitative data is measured by the extension of observations, the persistence of observations, triangulation, and checking. Qualitative data analysis includes data reduction, data presentation, verification and conclusions. Meanwhile, quantitative data is supportive of qualitative data. The results showed that: 1) The leadership management model at Islamic Religious Universities shows the implementation of leadership elements. The academic community clearly formulated and understood the vision, mission, goals, and objectives. Recruitment and placement of human resources according to their field of expertise. Infrastructure and financing are carried out with budget adjustments and independent business. The application of leadership styles and communication patterns is flexible and transparent. The leadership model as a leader in the provision of direction to subordinates to run the program. 2). An effective leadership management model to improve performance in the Islamic Religious High School is a leading management model that applies management principles, namely: (a) Planning; (b) Organizing; (c) Actuating; and (d) Supervision (controlling). 3). Factors inhibiting leadership management in the Islamic Religious High School include the slow realization of the vision, mission, goals, and objectives, low performance of human resources, limited budgets and infrastructure utilization, accessibility and adaptation to changes that have not been optimal. 4). The factors that make up the leadership of the superior Islamic Religious Higher Education Can be identified with the output of having met the pattern of determining, implementing, evaluating, controlling and improving the programs of Islamic religious universities.
