Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) menggunakan model Kemmis dan Taggart. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada semester II tahun ajaran 2023/2024. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas V SD Negeri Mendut yang berjumlah 19 siswa. Penelitian ini terdiri dari II siklus. Setiap siklus melalui empat tahap yakni, perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, dan refleksi. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah tes,\r\nobservasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Sementara instrument pengumpulan data\r\nmenggunakan soal tes, lembar observasi, lembar wawancara dan dokumen. Teknik analisis data dilakukan secara analisis data deskriptif kualitatif dan analisis data deskripsi kuantitatif. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah pembelajaran menggunakan model Directed Reading Thinking Activity (DRTA) dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar bahasa Indonesia pada siswa kelas V SD Negeri Mendut. Terdapat peningkatan hasil belajar siswa pada siklus I sebesar 26,3% dan meningkat menjadi 78,95%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan dalam nilai rata-rata siswa kelas V yang berjumlah 19 siswa sebesar 27,42 %.\r\nKata kunci: bahasa Indonesia, hasil belajar, model directed reading thinking activity"^^<http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema#string> .
