abstract: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui proses vokasionalisasi pelaku wisata sebagai pembelajaran konstruktivistik pada desa wisata di Kulon Progo. Pengembangan desa wisata ini merupakan manifestasi TVET non formal.
Penelitian dilakukan di tiga desa wisata yaitu Segajih, Jatimulyo, dan Tinalah. Penelitian kualitatif ini bertemakan budaya dengan pendekatan etnografi. Tahap penelitian meliputi observasi, partisipasi lapangan, wawancara naturalistik, pembangkitan data, pengkodingan data, analisa dan sintesa data. Wawancara dilakukan terhadap 20 orang kunci yang merupakan informan pelaku desa wisata. Analisis data menggunakan metode ranah dengan menetapkan emik 1 dan 2 dan etik 1 dan 2.
Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pengembangan desa wisata berbasis budaya Jawa. Filosofi budaya Jawa yang meliputi hamemayu hayuning bawono, sangkan paraning dumadi, dan manunggaling kawula lan Gusti, melahirkan budaya gotong royong dalam masyarakat. Perluasan budaya gotong royong melahirkan technical and vocational education and training (TVET) personal yang di dalamnya terjadi proses asimilasi dan akomodasi. Proses meliputi proses penggagasan desa wisata, proses peningkatan kompetensi para pelaku desa wisata hingga proses integrasi budaya dan teknologi pada desa wisata. Impementasi TVET ini meliputi implementasi pedagogi, andragogi, heutagogi, peeragogi, dan sibergogi yang terintegrasi dengan teknologi. Keseluruhan proses ini menghasilkan kompetensi masyarakat pelaku desa wisata di Kulon Progo.
