Penelitian ini menggunakan model sequential, yaitu dari penelitian kualitatif dan dilanjutkan penelitian kuantitatif. Penelitian dilakukan di politeknik negeri dan swasta di Provinsi Jawa Timur, Jawa Tengah, dan Jawa Barat. Populasi penelitian adalah mahasiswa jurusan teknologi manufaktur. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 247 mahasiswa dipilih dengan teknik proportionate stratified random sampling. Pengumpulan data kualitatif dilakukan melalui wawancara semi terstruktur dan literature review yang sistematik, sedangkan pengumpulan data kualitatif menggunakan self-assessment dan instrument. Validitas isi dilakukan melalui focus group discussion pakar pendidikan teknologi dan kejuruan. Validitas konstruk dilakukan dengan Structural Equation Modeling. Reliabilitas diukur menggunakan construct reliability dan variance extracted. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah bibliometric dan confirmatory factor analysis. Hasil penelitian ini adalah sebagai berikut. (1) Kondisi implemetasi green skills mahasiswa politeknik pada jurusan teknologi manufaktur termasuk dalam kategori cukup baik. (2) Kontruk green skills mahasiswa dapat dicermati melalui 10 dimensi yang ada di dalamnya yaitu inovatif, penyelesaian masalah, keterampilan ICT, disiplin, green career, green entrepreneur, green employment, green job, perawatan, dan networking. (3) Variabel yang berpengaruh signifikan terhadap green skills mahasiswa yaitu kesadaran, pengetahuan, values, dan sikap.
