Walaupun telah menjadi keterampilan penting yang harus dikuasai, pembelajaran yang didesain untuk meningkatkan keterampilan pemecahan masalah kolaboratif masih kurang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) menghasilkan model pembelajaran Etno-STEAM dan perangkat pendukungnya, (2) mengetahui kelayakan model pembelajaran Etno-STEAM dan perangkat pendukungnya, (3) mengetahui kepraktisan model pembelajaran Etno-STEAM berdasarkan keterlaksanaan sintaks pembelajaran dan respon yang diberikan peserta didik, (4) mendeskripsikan keefektifan model pembelajaran Etno-STEAM terhadap keterampilan pemecahan masalah kolaboratif dan sikap terhadap sains. Jenis penelitian adalah penelitian dan pengembangan dengan menggunakan pendekatan pengembangan Borg & Gall yang terdiri dari sepuluh tahapan. Prosedur penelitian dilakukan melalui tiga tahapan yaitu pra pengembangan, pengembangan, dan implementasi. Pada pra pengembangan, studi kepustakaan dan studi lapangan dilakukan untuk mendapatkan landasan teoritik yang relevan dan analisis kebutuhan. Temuan yang diperoleh dari tahapan pra pengembangan digunakan sebagai bahan untuk mengembangkan model dan perangkat pembelajaran. Pada tahap pengembangan, model dan perangkat pembelajaran yang telah dikembangkan kemudian dilakukan validasi ahli untuk menilai kelayakan model. Model dan perangkat pembelajaran yang telah divalidasi diimplementasikan di kelas untuk mengetahui kepraktisan dan keefektifan model pembelajaran. Subjek penelitian adalah peserta didik kelas VII sejumlah 108. Teknik sampling yang digunakan adalah simple random sampling. Teknik analisis data menggunakan statistik deskriptif dan inferensial. Hasil penelitian ini adalah sebagai berikut: (1) model pembelajaran Etno- STEAM telah dihasilkan dan memiliki enam sintaks pembelajaran yaitu a) mengorientasikan peserta didik pada masalah, b) mengidentifikasi indigenous knowledge peserta didik, c) mengidentifikasi konsep sains yang relevan, d) membimbing pemecahan masalah secara kolaboratif, e) mengembangkan dan menyajikan hasil karya, f) mengevaluasi hasil dan proses pemecahan masalah, (2) model pembelajaran dan perangkat pendukung yang dihasilkan layak digunakan sebagai alternatif model pembelajaran, (3) model pembelajaran dan perangkat pendukung yang dihasilkan sangat praktis ditinjau dari keterlaksanaan sintaks pembelajaran dan mendapat respon positif dari peserta didik, (4) model pembelajaran dan perangkat pendukung yang dihasilkan dapat meningkatkan keterampilan pemecahan masalah kolaboratif dan sikap terhadap sains. date: 2023-11-10 date_type: published institution: Program Pascasarjana department: Ilmu Pendidikan thesis_type: disertasi referencetext: Akcay, B., & Akcay, H.
