Penelitian ini menggunakan metode ADDIE (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) untuk pengembangannya dan Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of the Technology untuk penerimaan teknologinya. Penelitian tahap awal menggunakan hasil lomba kompetensi siswa (LKS) sebagai pembanding kompetensi yang dibutuhkan DUDI dengan kompetensi yang dihasilkan oleh SMK dan kemudian menemukan kesenjangan keahlian yang dimiliki siswa SMK. Pengumpulan data menggunakan tes dan melalui wawancara dan observasi. Analisis data menggunakan analisis deskriptif kuantitatif dan N-gain. Validator instrumen meliputi empat orang ahli. Tahap uji coba menggunakan hasil pembelajaran dua kelas, yaitu satu kelas eksperimen dan satu kelas kontrol. Uji efektifitas melibatkan 44 orang partisipan menggunakan nilai N-gain dan untuk penerimaan teknologinya menggunakan kuesioner yang dibagikan kepada 22 siswa kelas eksperimen setelah mereka diajar dengan menggunakan konten pembelajaran asinkron untuk mengetahui model penerimaan teknologi. Hasil penelitian adalah sebagai berikut. (1) Pengembangan konten pembelajaran asinkron yang telah dilakukan menunjukan adanya perbaikan kemampuan siswa yang menyebabkan semakin kecilnya kesenjangan keahlian antara SMK dengan DUDI. (2) Konten pembelajaran asinkron dinyatakan layak oleh validasi ahli materi dengan interpretasi “Sangat Layak” dan validasi ahli media dengan interpretasi “Layak”.
