Data yang dibutuhkan dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Tingkat kepercayaan hasil penelitian dilakukan dengan kriteria credibility, transferability, dan dependability. Data dianalisis dengan teknik analisis data kualitatif model interaktif Miles & Huberman Hasil penelitian adalah (1) Potensi Modal Sosial di Madrasah Ibtidaiyah yaitu: memiliki kepercayaan yang tinggi dari orangtua dan masyarakat, memiliki kedekatan sosial dengan orangtua dan masyarakat., memiliki SDM yang berkualitas, dan memiliki program pendidikan spiritual dan akhlak bagi anak. (2) Pelaksanaan Kemitraan Berbasis Modal Sosial di Madrasah Ibtidaiyah. a) Kemitraan madrasah dengan orangtua, berupa mengkondisikan anak belajar di rumah, menjalin komunikasi yang kuat orangtua dengan madrasah, mendorong kepedulian tinggi orangtua pada madrasah, mendorong orangtua terlibat aktif mendampingi belajar anak di rumah, dan mendorong orangtua berpatisipasi aktif pada madrasah. b) Kemitraan madrasah dengan masyarakat, berupa melibatkan masyarakat untuk penguatan madrasah, melibatkan masyarakat turut mensosialisasikan madrasah, mendorong sikap kepedulian yang tinggi pada madrasah, dan melibatkan masyarakat pada program madrasah. Faktor pendukung kemitraan seperti managerial Kepala Madrasah yang baik, visi misi madrasah yang sesuai kebutuhan masyarakat, guru professional, akreditasi madrasah, program keagamaan, berbagai kegiatan ekstrakurikuler, staff sesuai bidangnya, prestasi siswa yang baik, dan lulusan yang diterima di sekolah lanjutan favorit. Sedangkan, fakor penghambatnya seperti konsep kemitraan dengan orang tua dan masyarakat belum disusun secara terencana. Orang tua masih menjadi instrument finansial. Belum sifatnya kepada yang lebih substansial dan orang tua masih memiliki frame, sekolah yang paling bertanggungjawab terhadap pendidikan anak. Akibatnya, madrasah juga tidak terbiasa dengan kehadiran dan keterlibatan orang tua di sekolah. (3) Pola kemitraan (partnership) berbasis modal sosial terdapat 7 (tujuh) langkah, yaitu a) merumuskan kebutuhan belajar siswa dan tujuan pendidikan, b) melakukan identifikasi beberapa pihak yang potensial untuk diajak bekerja sama. c) madrasah menjalin komunikasi intensif pada pihak-pihak yang diajak bermitra. d) melakukan proses komunikasi sekaligus negosiasi. e) madrasah berupaya menciptakan situasi yang saling menguntungkan dan membawa kemanfaatan bagi kepentingan bersama. f) Tindaklanjut perjanjian kerja sama MoU, dan g) madrasah dan mitra melakukan asesmen terhadap program kemitraan.
