Penelitian ini merupakan research and development yang menerapkan prosedur pengembangan Borg & Gall terdiri 10 tahap yaitu studi pendahuluan, perencanaan, pengembangan draft awal, uji coba draft awal, revisi draft awal, uji coba lapangan, revisi produk awal, uji coba operasional, revisi produk operasional, dan diseminasi. Subjek penelitian adalah mahasiswa program studi pendidikan IPA yang sedang mengambil mata kuliah Pendidikan Lingkungan Hidup. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta, Universitas Tidar, dan IAIN Salatiga. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner, wawancara, observasi, dokumentasi, dan tes. Data yang terkumpul terdiri dari data hasil survey permasalahan dan kebutuhan proses pembelajaran pada perkulaiahan Pendidikan Lingkungan Hidup, data hasil validasi produk oleh pakar dan praktisi, data keterlaksanaan model pembelajaran dalam uji coba produk, serta data hasil uji efektivitas produk. Uji coba produk dilakukan sebanyak dua kali yang berupa uji terbatas dan uji skala luas dengan desain pretest-posttest control group design. Teknik analisis data menggunakan uji Manova dengan terlebih dahulu melakukan 9 uji asumsi multivariat. Hasil penelitian ini adalah sebagai berikut. (1) Struktur sintaks model pembelajaran ISSITech yang dikembangkan terdiri dari stimulasi masalah, melakukan observasi, melakukan investigasi, menganalisis data hasil temuan, mempresentasikan hasil dan menyusun simpulan disertai refleksi akhir. Perangkat pendukung pembelajaran terdiri dari bahan ajar, RPS, LKM, peragkat penilaian, aplikasi ISSITech, gambar, dan video. (2) Model pembelajaran ISSITech telah dinilai layak untuk diterapkan melalui proses validasi yang dilakukan oleh ahli desain pembelajaran, ahli media, ahli materi, dan dosen Pendidikan Lingkungan Hidup sebagai praktisi. (3) Uji coba kepraktisan menghasilkan model pembelajaran ISSITech yang dinilai praktis oleh mahasiswa dan dosen sebagai pengguna model. (4) Model pembelajaran ISSITech dinilai efektif untuk meningkatkan soft skills dan kemampuan scientific literacy. Hasil uji coba produk model pembelajaran ISSITech menunjukkan adanya perbedaan yang signifikan antara model pembelajaran ISSITech dengan model pembelajaran langsung.
