This study can be used as reference material for other principals to improve teacher professionalism in schools. This study used descriptive qualitative method. The subjects of this study were school principal, student vice president, public relations officer and senior teachers. The data was collected by doing interviews, observation and documentation. The researcher used validity test to source and techniques triangulation. In addition, the researcher used Misel and Huberman model as a technique of analysing data. Based on the result, the role of the principal as a leader, manager and supervisor in improving teacher professionalism has been carried out well. Therefore, the results of this study could be mentioned as follows: (1) As a leader, the principal role was to remind the teacher and apply the vision and mission of the school, to encourage the teachers involvement in decision making, to give motivation, trust and reward to the teachers; (2) The principle as a manager in improving teacher professionalism was to divide the task to the teachers based on their passion, to plan school program and its implementation, to make structure and design a division of labour, to facilitate and encourage the teacher to join various trainings; (3) The principal as supervisor in improving teacher professionalism was to supervise the teachers both directly and indirectly from media such as CCTV, also supervise the teachers with many activities such as class visits, in service training, and so forth.
