This research aim is to improve the social skills of class VIII A students of SMP Negeri 1 Plumbon through experiential learning methods. This type of research is action research with the research subjects of class VIII A junior high school 1 Plumbon as many as 15 students who have low social skills. The selection of the subject of the study was based on observation, the results of the discussions done with parents, BK (guidance and counseling) teachers and the results of the social skills scale as well as the results of parental consent for the students to participate in the research in the covid-19 pandemic. The validity of the social skill scale was tested using pearson's product moment correlation formula using the SPSS series 14.0 program, with a valid number of items of 37 items. This social skills scale was also tested for reliability using the cronbach alpha formula using the SPSS series 14.0 program, having a coefficient of 0.802 so that this scale has high reliability. The data analysis techniques in this study used descriptive quantitative analysis. The quantitative data in the form of social skill scale and data description were obtained from observations during and after the action process based on observation guidelines. The results of this study show that experiential learning methods with game actions, role play and group discussion can improve the social skills of class VIIIA of SMP Negeri 1 Plumbon students . This can be seen from the increase in social skill level before the action and the level of social skills after the action of cycle I, cycle II and cycle III. The result of the pre-test was 0\% student had high social skills because the skill level of the students was in the low and moderate category. After conducting cycle I consisting of three actions, 20\% of the students already had social skills in the high category. Then after the implementation of cycle II with three actions, 53.3\% students had high social skills, but had not reached the target. Furthermore, cycle III was conducted consisting of 3 actions, and there was an increase to 80\% of students already had high social skills and had reached the target. These results were also reinforced by the observation showing increased behavior in social skills.} }
