Model yang dikembangkan bermanfaat sebagai sarana untuk pencapaian tujuan pembelajaran pendidikan jasmani dalam mengembangkan kemampuan keterampilan gerak dasar dan tingkat kedisiplinan siswa, sehingga dapat dipergunakan oleh guru dalam melaksanakan kegiatan pembelajaran pendidikan jasmani. Penelitian pengembangan ini dilakukan dengan langkah-langkah penelitian Borg and Gall sebagai berikut: (1) penelitian dan mengumpulkan informasi, (2) perencanaan, (3) pengembangan pendahuluan (draft produk awal), (4) uji coba pendahuluan (skala kecil), (5) perbaikan produk awal (revisi awal), (6) uji coba lapangan utama (skala besar), (7) perbaikan produk utama, (8) uji coba lapangan operasional (uji efektivitas), (9) produk akhir, dan (10) diseminasi. Uji coba skala kecil dilakukan di SD Kanisius Gowongan, Yogyakarta, uji coba skala besar dilakukan di SD Taman Siswa Jetis dan SD BOPKRI Gondolayu, Yogyakarta, dan uji efektivitas dilakukan di SD Budya Wacana, Yogyakarta. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan catatan lapangan. Instrumen penilaian yang digunakan adalah skala nilai dan tes keterampilan gerak dan penilaian kedisiplinan. Teknis analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis deskriptif kuantitatif dan analisis uji normalitas, uji homogenitas, dan uji t. Sumbangan aktivitas permainan modifikasi multilateral pada keterampilan gerak untuk lari 30 meter adalah 11,6%, melempar bola 38,86%, melompat 5,38%, menangkap bola 26,84%, dan kedisiplinan 4,83%. Hasil penelitian ini berupa model permainan berbasis multilateral yang disesuaikan dengan karakteristik peserta didik sekolah dasar kelas bawah. Model permainan ini meliputi: (a) Permainan Kelinci, (b) Permainan 1 2 3 4, (c) Permainan Membidik, dan (d) Permainan Geng Rantai. Model ini disusun dalam bentuk buku pedoman.
