Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengungkapkan: (1) gerakan kewarganegaraan ekologis yang dilakukan oleh Organisasi KOPHI DIY, (2) hambatan yang dihadapi oleh Organisasi KOPHI DIY dalam pelaksanaan gerakan kewarganegaraan ekologis, dan (3) upaya yang dilakukan oleh Organisasi KOPHI DIY untuk mengatasi hambatan dalam pelaksanaan gerakan kewarganegaraan ekologis di Kota Yogyakarta. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis studi kasus. Penelitian dilakukan di Kota Yogyakarta. Penentuan informan penelitian dilakukan secara purposif yang terdiri dari Ketua Organisasi KOPHI DIY, anggota Organisasi KOPHI DIY, dan kelompok masyarakat mitra Organisasi KOPHI DIY. Pengumpulan data melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Keabsahan data menggunakan triangulasi teknik, pengecekan anggota, dan bahan referensi. Analisis data menggunakan model interaktif Creswell dengan enam tahapan, yaitu mengumpulkan data mentah, mengatur dan menyiapkan data mentah, membaca semua data, membuat koding data berdasarkan tema dan deskripsi, mengaitkan antara tema dan deskripsi yang telah dibuat, dan menganalisis data hasil temuan dengan teori-teori yang relevan. Hasil penelitian adalah sebagai berikut. (1) Terdapat tiga bentuk gerakan kewarganegaraan ekologis yang dilakukan oleh Organisasi KOPHI DIY. Bentuk pertama, yaitu gerakan edukasi lingkungan yang dilakukan melalui sosialisasi langsung, Cangkrukan KOPHI, membuat Artiklop KOPHI, dan melakukan kerja sama dengan media massa seperti televisi dan radio. Bentuk kedua, yaitu gerakan aksi lingkungan dilakukan melalui kampanye lingkungan, bersih sungai dan bersih pantai. Bentuk ketiga, yaitu gerakan pengabdian masyarakat dilakukan dengan cara memberikan sosialisasi, pelatihan, dan bantuan sukarela kepada kelurahan yang menjadi mitra Organisasi KOPHI DIY. Saat ini, kelompok masyarakat mitra Organisasi KOPHI DIY terletak di Kelurahan Pandeyan tepatnya di Kampung Hijau Gambiran. (2) Terdapat beberapa hambatan yang dialami oleh anggota Organisasi KOPHI DIY dalam pelaksanaan gerakan kewarganegaraan ekologis, antara lain, keterbatasan pengetahuan anggota KOPHI terhadap kondisi lingkungan di Kota Yogyakarta dan respon masyarakat terhadap gerakan lingkungan yang masih rendah.
