Metode yang digunakan adalah survei dan menggunakan instrumen berupa tes. Instrumen yang digunakan ialah tes dari Richard H. Cox ( Brumbach Forearm Pass Wall ) yang memiliki validitas 0,80 dan realibiltas 0,89. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah peserta ekstrakurikuler bola voli di SMA Negeri 1 Ngemplak yang berjumlah 20 siswa dengan 14 siswa putra dan 6 siswa putri. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis deskriptif dengan persentase.\r\nBerdasarkan hasil tes yang telah dilakukan, dapat disimpulkan bahwa peserta ekstrakurikuler bola voli di SMA N 1 Ngemplak memiliki tingkat kemampuan passing yang cukup baik. Lebih rinci kemampuan passing bawah putra memiliki kategori baik sekali 0%, baik 35,7%, cukup 35,7%, kurang 14,3%, dan kurang sekali 14,3%, sedangkan tingkat kemampuan passing bawah putri memiliki kategori baik sekali 0%, baik 33,3%, cukup 33,3%, kurang 33,3%, dan kurang sekali 0%. Setelah penelitian ini dilaksanakan, diharapkan para peserta ekstrakurikuler bisa lebih meningkatkan kemampuan passing bawahnya agar masuk ke kategori selanjutnya."^^<http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema#string> .
