Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan yang mengacu pada model pengembangan ADDIE, meliputi lima tahap yaitu analysis, design, deveopment, implementation, and evaluation. Penelitian dilaksanakan di SMA Negeri 1 Pakem. Subjek uji coba terbatas yaitu kelas XI MIPA 1, dan uji coba lapangan dilakukan terhadap 62 peserta didik kelas X MIPA, terbagi atas kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol yang dipilih secara random. Instrumen pengumpulan data menggunakan, (1) lembar validasi LKPD, (2) lembar validasi perangkat pembelajaran, (3) angket respon peserta didik terhadap LKPD, ( 4 ) lembar soal tes keterampilan proses sains, (5) lembar observasi keterampilan proses sains, dan (6) lembar angket sikap ilmiah. Hasil penilaian LKPD oleh para ahli menunjukkan LKPD memiliki kriteria sangat layak digunakan ditinjau dari aspek didaktik, konstruksi, dan teknis.
