Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode eksperimen kuasi.Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah peserta didik yang mengalami kecemasan sosial. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik purposive sampling, sehingga diperoleh sampel pada kelompok eksperimen sebanyak 5 siswa dan sampel pada kelompok kontrol sebanyak 5 siswa. Pengumpulan data dilakukan menggunakan angket yang telah diuji validitas dan reliabilitasnya. Analisis data menggunakan Gen skor dengan taraf signifikansi 5% yang pengujiannya menggunakan bantuan program SPSS versi 22,0. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa:(1) teknik restrukturisasi kognitif efektif dalam menurunkan kecemasan sosial pada peserta didik SMK Kusuma Terate Madiun, dibuktikan dengan nilai gain score kelompok eskperimen sebesar -41,2; sedangkan pada nilai gain score kelompok kontrol sebesar -2,2; dengan nilai gain score sebesar -0,41.Dengan demikian teknik restrukturisasi kognitif efektif menurunkan kecemasan sosial siswa SMK Kusuma Terate Madiun.
