"The general purpose of the research is to make a handling model of the children with\r\nlearning disabilities based on accommodations and modification of learning collaborating\r\nwith researchers from Chiang Mai University. The specific purposes of the research are: 1)\r\nTo make a guide-book of handling the children with learning disabilities based on learning\r\naccommodations and modification for the teachers, 2) To make a guidance to train the\r\nteachers on handling the children with learning disabilities, 3) For international publication.\r\n The research is a development research of handling the children with learning disabilities\r\nmodel based on learning accommodations and modification which adapted from a\r\ndevelopment model by Borg and Gall (2003). These are the steps of the development: 1)\r\nDoing literary study about the handling model of the children with learning disabilities\r\nbased on learning accommodations and modification which appropriate with the needs of\r\nchildren with learning disabilities on elementary school; 2) Collecting information and\r\nsuggestion from the practitioners and the experts related to the requirement of learning and\r\nlearning accommodations and modification for the children with learning disabilities at\r\nschool; 3) Compiling hypothetical model which will be applied in the activity of learning\r\naccommodations and modification. It will be a model and a guide-book about learning\r\naccommodations and modification, evaluation system, and indicator of achievement on the \r\nmodel implementation; 4) Drafting the guide-book of handling the children with learning \r\ndisabilities based on accommodations and modification which includes material, procedure,\r\nstrategy and evaluation system of learning accommodations and modification; 5) Doing\r\ninitial test (limited test) to complete the initial hypothetical model; 6) Revising the guidebook\r\ndraft\r\nthrough\r\nthe\r\nresult\r\nof\r\nthe\r\ninitial\r\n\r\ntest and compiling draft-2 of guide-book of\r\nhandling the children with learning disabilities based on learning accommodations and\r\nmodification; 7) Validating and testing guide-book draft toward subjects; 8) Revising guidebook\r\ndraft\r\nthrough\r\nthe\r\nresult\r\nof\r\nthe\r\nsecond\r\ntest;\r\n9)\r\ncompiling\r\nof\r\nfinal\r\nmodels\r\nand\r\nproduct,\r\n\r\nthat\r\nis\r\nthe\r\nfinal\r\ndraft\r\nof\r\nguide-book\r\nof\r\nhandling\r\nthe\r\nchildren\r\n with\r\nlearning\r\ndisabilities\r\nbased\r\n\r\non\r\nlearning\r\naccommodations\r\nand\r\nmodification;\r\n10)\r\nImplementing\r\nand\r\ndisseminating\r\nthe\r\n\r\nguide-book.\r\nIn\r\nthis\r\n\r\nresearch, step 1-5 had done in 2015. Then, step 6-9 had done in the\r\nsecond year (2016) and the 10th step which disseminating and implementing, also\r\nsocializing the guide-book will be done in the three year (2017). \r\n The research’s finding can be presented as follows : The first year: (1) Handling children\r\nwith learning disabilities is still not implemented adequately; (2) Perceptions and\r\nexpectations of teachers to the problems of handling children with learning disabilities tends\r\nto be negative, hence the need for guidelines on the application of learning accommodation\r\nfor children with learning disabilities; (3) Hypothetical model handling of children with\r\nlearning disabilities based learning accommodation and modification that has been tested\r\nbeginning on a limited basis, could be developed as a model further through the subjects try\r\ninvolvement to school more and increase the participants in the forum panel discussion and\r\nFocus Group Discussion /FGD order to obtain more models effective. The second year had\r\ndone: 1) Revising the guide-book draft through the result of the initial test and compiling\r\ndraft-2 of guide-book of handling the children with learning disabilities based on learning\r\naccommodations and modification; 2) Validating and testing guide-book draft toward\r\nsubjects; 3) Revising guide-book draft through the result of the second test; 4) compiling of\r\nfinal models and product, that is the final draft of guide-book of handling the children with\r\nlearning disabilities based on learning accommodations and modification. 5) International \r\nPublication.
