%L UNY43579 %X This study was aimed at exploring and describing the Curriculum Management at Faculty of Nursing Science, Lao PDR. Qualitative approach supported by quantitative approach was used to describe and analyze the curriculum management in the faculty. The data were collected through observation, interviews, document analysis, and questionnaire, the subjects of the research were the Faculty dean as a key informant, dean, vice deans, 15 students, and 10 teaching staff members to be interviewed, 26 teacher and 85 students to fill in the questionnaire. The validity of the data was obtained through a variety of instruments, prolonged and repeated observation, mechanically recorded data, and low-inference descriptors. The data were simultaneously analyzed throughout the research process. The finding shows that the dean’s management focusing on planning and controlling the teaching and learning process was well conducted since vision and mission were disseminated and understood nearly everyone; the observation and assessment were done professionally, fairly, and without nepotism; the dean motivated both the teachers and students to obtain the yearly academic achievement effectively; the teachers received inadequate in service training; and the faculty equipment and facilities were inadequate since it depend on government budget. %A Khamsone Chanthavongsa %K curriculum, management %D 2010 %I UNY %T Curriculum Management: A Case Study at Faculty of Nursing Science, Vientiane, City Lao People’s Democratic Republic
