Subyek dalam penelitian ini yaitu siswa Kelas V SD Negeri Negeri Jlaban Sentolo Kulon Progo sebanyak 23 siswa. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan teknik tes dan non tes. Analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan analisis deskriptif kuantitatif. \r\nProses yang dilakukan dalam penelitian ini yaitu siswa mendeskripsikan situasi saat ini, siswa menganalogi langsung, siswa menganalogi secara personal, siswa menganalisis konflik padat, siswa menganalogi langsung kembali, dan siswa memeriksa kembali tugas awal. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai rata-rata yang diperoleh pada tahap pratindakan yaitu 60,65. Pada akhir siklus I persentase rata-rata meningkat menjadi 68,26. Persentase siswa yang telah mencapai KKM yaitu 60,86% (14 siswa). Pada akhir siklus II, presentase rata-ratanya meningkat menjadi 78,91. Persentase siswa yang sudah mencapai KKM yaitu sebesar 91,30% (21 siswa). Hal tersebut menunjukkan bahwa siswa yang telah mencapai ketuntasan sudah mencapai ≥ 75%. Maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan metode sinektik dapat meningkatkan keterampilan menulis puisi untuk siswa kelas V SD Negeri Jlaban Sentolo. \r\n\r\nKata kunci: Menulis puisi, Metode sinektik, dan SD Negeri Jlaban Sentolo Kulon Progo"^^<http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema#string> .
