Subjek penelitian adalah kelas VA sejumlah 20 peserta didik dan kelas VB sejumlah 21 peserta didik. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini berbentuk lembar tes. Teknik analisis data menggunakan beda mean dan analisis deskriptif. Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh adalah sebagai berikut, nilai rata-rata post-test hasil belajar IPS kelas eksperimen sebesar 80,09 (kriteria baik) dengan peningkatan nilai (gain score) sebesar 29,14, sedangkan kelas kontrol nilai rata-rata post-test hasil belajar IPS sebesar 71,60 (kriteria baik) dengan peningkatan nilai (gain score) sebesar 22,60 . Hasil penelitian menunjukkan nilai rata-rata hasil belajar IPS dan gain score kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi dibandingkan kelas kontrol setelah diberikan perlakuan. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa ada pengaruh (positif) penggunaan mind map terhadap hasil belajar IPS kelas V semester genap SD Negeri Margoyasan Yogyakarta tahun ajaran 2014/2015.\r\n\r\nKata kunci:
