Variabel penelitian ini terdiri atas dua variabel, yaitu variabel bebas (X) yang berupa penggunaan metode cooperative learning tipe Numbered Heads Together dan variabel terikat (Y) yaitu keterampilan membaca bahasa Jerman. Penelitian ini dilakukan di SMA Negeri 1 Boyolali. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh peserta didik kelas XI SMA Negeri 1 Boyolali yang berjumlah 312 peserta didik. Teknik pengambilan sampel dengan simple random sampling, diperoleh dua kelas yaitu kelas XI IPA 1 yang berjumlah 29 peserta didik sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas XI IPA 2 yang berjumlah 29 peserta didik sebagai kelas kontrol, sehingga jumlah keseluruhan sampel sebanyak 58 peserta didik. Pengambilan data melalui pre-test dan posttest. Analisis data penelitian ini menggunakan uji-t.\r\nHasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa thitung 4,264 lebih besar dari ttabel 2,000 dengan taraf signifikansi (α) = 0,05 dan df sebesar 56. Hal ini menunjukkan adanya perbedaan yang signifikan prestasi belajar keterampilan membaca bahasa Jerman antara kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Nilai rata-rata akhir peserta didik pada kelas eksperimen sebesar 23,069 lebih besar dari pada kelas kontrol yaitu 21,103. Hal ini berarti bahwa penggunaan metode cooperative learning tipe Numbered Heads Together dalam pembelajaran keterampilan membaca bahasa Jerman peserta didik kelas XI SMA Negeri 1 Boyolali lebih efektif dari pada metode konvensional dengan bobot keefektifan sebesar 10,4%. Implikasi dari penelitian ini adalah penggunaan metode cooperative learning tipe Numbered Heads Together (NHT) dapat diterapkan dalam pembelajaran keterampilan membaca bahasa Jerman di SMA."^^<http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema#string> .
