This research is a qualitative research. Data collected by techniques: researcher as research instrument, observations, interviews, field notes, documentation, questionnaires and interview. Fixed comparison method was used as data analysis model. The results of this research is a description about high interest from vocational school graduates in apprenticeship program to Japan, qualification of participants, barriers experienced by participants, implementation of apprenticeship program to Japan in Indonesia and in Japan, profile of work field in foundry, machining, and metal plate processing.
