%X The aim of this research is to seek out the types of illocutionary acts and illocutionary functions performed by the English teachers in teaching-learning process at SMA N 1 Wates, Kulon Progo. The subjects of the research consisted of four English teachers of SMA N 1 Wates. The data of the research were the English teachers’ utterrances. This research applied descriptive qualitative method. The findings show that there are 4 types of illocutionary acts and 23 types of illocutionary forces performed by the English teaches at SMA N 1 Wates.
