Objek penelitian ini adalah kemampuan membaca pemahaman siswa dengan metode CIRC. Penelitian Tindakan dilakukan dalam dua siklus yang pada tiap siklusnya terdapat empat komponen yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan tindakan, observasi dan refleksi. Tindakan yang diberikan kepada siswa berupa penerapan metode CIRC untuk meningkatkan kemampuan membaca pemahaman siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data berupa pengamatan, wawancara, angket, tes, dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis deskriptif kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Analisis kualitatif digunakan untuk data kualitatif yang berupa wawancara, catatan lapangan, dan dokumentasi tugas siswa. Analisis kuantitatif digunakan untuk data kuantitatif yang diperoleh dari hasil tes membaca pemahaman siswa sebelum dan sesudah diberi tindakan.\r\n Hasil penelitian menunjukkan penerapan metode CIRC dapat meningkatkan kemampuan dan proses belajar membaca pemahaman siswa kelas III SD Negeri Congkrang II Muntilan. Pada pelaksanaan tindakan siklus 1 dengan diberikannya reward bagi kelompok dengan nilai terbaik, beberapa siswa sudah aktif dalam pembelajaran membaca pemahaman, akan tetapi masih ada siswa yang pasif sehingga perlu dilakukan perbaikan pada siklus 2. Perbaikan dilakukan dengan menambah reward bagi tiga kelompok terbaik, sehingga dalam proses pembelajaran siswa lebih termotivasi dan aktif  Selain itu, guru juga membimbing siswa untuk melakukan peninjauan ulang terhadap hasil diskusi kelompok sebelum presentasi agar hasil diskusi lebih optimal. Dari perbaikan tindakan ini terjadilah peningkatan proses yang dapat dilihat dari kondisi siswa yang lebih aktif dalam kegiatan pembelajaran. Peningkatan secara proses berdampak positif pada peningkatan kualitas produk. Hal ini berdasarkan tes membaca pemahaman meningkat, terbukti dengan nilai rata-rata siswa pratindakan sebesar 61,58, dengan pencapaian KKM 57,90%, pascatindakan siklus I sebesar 71,05 dengan pencapaian KKM 68,42% dan pascatindakan siklus 2 sebesar 81,58  dengan pencapaian KKM 89,47%. \r\n\r\n\r\nKata kunci: Kemampuan Membaca Pemahaman dan Metode CIRC"^^<http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema#string> .
