This study aims at determining the profile of intensity distribution of horizontally-arranged LED lines and also comparing the distribution of light intensity between the data accounting of several LED lines and direct measurement. The research data collection was done by directly observing the light intensity in angles multiples of 5 starting from 0 to 255. The light intensity in this study was measured with LDR sensor circuit by entering the research object into the light-isolating box. The size of the measured intensity at the time the light touched the LDR had been converted by the electronic circuit in the form of voltage. The research steps included the sensor designing and manufacturing step, LED lines designing and manufacturing stage, light-isolation designing and manufacturing stage, equipment testing stage, and data collection phase. The obtained intensity, then, was normalized and made graphs to determine the intensity profile. Independent variables in this study were the observation angles and the number of LED. The dependent variable was the light intensity and its control variables were the types of LED. Key words : distribution, line intensity, horizontal Year : 2009
