Abstract

All purposes planed in this study were realized well through two main activities, namely: (1) a workshop in the form of National Exam Technical Guidance, and (2) assistance activities in classroom instructions by opening consultation and evaluation through instruments which have been prepared by the research team. Purposes which had been realized were (1) the utilization of software of the national examination result analysis from BSNP to assess causes of low scores of National Exam results of Pesantren-based schools especially from the aspect of materials for a Science subject (Physics). It became easier because the researchers gained the software directly from Directorate of PSMP as the National Facilitator Team of National Examination Technical Guidance in 2011-2012, (2) that by using material enrichments based on analyses on difficult materials using absorptive capacity and pre tests, it could improve students’ competence in the learning especially for national examination materials which are difficult to be mastered by students of Pesantren-based schools, (3) that by making standardized questions based on question indicators existing in SKL UN (National Examination Graduation Standard), it could improve students’ competence in developing a standard question kit equivalent with UN (National Exam), (4) developing a standard question kit equivalent to UN for the subject of Science (Physics), and (5) that by going through Focus Group Discussion, the solution and plan in improving the average gain score achievement of UN and students’ graduation number in Pesantren-based schools can be planed.
